"The significant problems we face today cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them" - Albert EinsteinIs there any doubt at this juncture that U.S. politics have devolved into a thoroughly buffoonish farce? In addition to this morally corrupt fiscal cliff debate over precisely how best to bankrupt the nation's grandchildren, now the lamestream media at the behest of the party of hate and war, is fixating on the "talking points" surrounding the Benghazi embassy attack...
Not to say that the attack wasn't a bad situation. However, the main issue at hand is not the attack itself, but the "talking points" the President and his advisers used to characterize the attack in its immediate aftermath, as in whether he characterized the attack as a "terrorist" attack. Now Congress is going to launch an inquiry into these "talking points". For historians of the future who don't even understand why "talking points" could be an issue at this juncture, I don't claim to be an expert on totally inconsequential political issues that are mostly of concern to hate mongers sitting at home in their rocking chairs; however, I assume it's an issue because the party of hate and war needs to believe that their newly re-elected Kenyan President is soft on "terrists", as their beloved GW Bush would call them.
Bear in mind, for those looking back in time at this situation, from the future state of a collapsed economy and collapsed military industrial complex, this is just the latest diversion from reality for the comfort seeking geriatric set to focus on. This coupled with the recent General Petraeus marital affair are the only lurid details needed to invoke myriad conspiracy theories as to how the Kenyan stole the election from that white guy, the RomneyBot i.e. by keeping this all secret until after the election. (I probably have that wrong too, but I am too disgusted to explore the true mindset of the degenerate morons who care about this political crap).
The more important point, and surely one totally lost on the Idiocracy, is that this is exactly the type of inconsequential non-issue we should expect American politician game show hosts to be focusing on at this juncture while Rome burns to the ground in the background. As long as the morons of the day are focused on talking points and extra-marital affairs, all for the infotainment of the nursing home set, then the Taliban have nothing to fear whatsoever. This shit show is overdue to collapse under the weight of its own stupidity.
To paraphrase Einstein:
Greed and stupidity got us into this mess, so doubling down on greed and stupidity is not going to get us out of it.
Greed and stupidity got us into this mess, so doubling down on greed and stupidity is not going to get us out of it.
