Lehman Deja Vu: Vertical Rallies Into The Abyss

Oil and stocks hit multi-year lows then went vertical up, as the algos kicked in and shorts covered. As it was in Lehman, the reflex bounces get steeper and shorter...

Someone is shitting their pants right now...

Oil hit $26 and then rebounded (this is yesterday's close). Volatility (red) is real time...

I just had a major (overdue) epiphany - that Skynet only likes selling at night, off hours U.S. The algos defend the market all day and then they dump futures at night - the more they buy during the day, the more they sell at night...Every a-b-c short-covering rally has ended with a big dump that night...

These disconnects with JPY don't help much...

A 25 point S&P rally in 2 two minutes, there's nothing odd about that...
S&P :15 minute:

USO just traded half a day's volume in five minutes...Holy fuck:
USO ETF:

VIX hit 30 and then gave it back as the Algos saw a quick buck...

This can only inspire confidence:

It's clearly all under control
