Neocons only like war when someone else is fighting
The generation that fought in Vietnam never learned from Vietnam, why? - because none of the Neocons have been to war: George W. Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Bill Kristol, Karl Rove, John Ashcroft, Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, Ronald Reagan, Paul Wolfowitz, Richard Perle. Stop me any time. (The only well-known Neocon who went to war is John McCain who seems be trying to make up for the loss in Vietnam). All of these morons are ardent supporters of never-ending military interventions. Which is important, because the generals who ran the Vietnam war were all WWII veterans so they eventually de-escalated in 1973 after eight years of failed engagement. The pull-out in 1975 was to remove all remaining advisors and diplomats, however, the last troops had already left in 1973. Fast forward to today and after the two longest and costliest blunders in U.S. history, the Neocons still haven't "learned" anything. They Won't Settle for Anything Less than Total Collapse
Right now at this very moment Neocons are all armchair quarter-backing Obama's "next strategic move" in the Middle East. After 14 years of lies and deception, they are going to "fix" the Middle East with one more well-planned "surge". In the event, they will fix Sunni versus Shia. They will end the proxy war between Saudi Arabia and Iran. They will solve the Israel/Palestine conflict. They will end the war in Syria and the simmering conflicts in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Somalia, Yemen and Libya. They will undo decades of failed intervention and the resulting millions of displaced persons and radicalized youth, with one "bold stroke". Hundreds of competing jihadist groups will spontaneously "stand down" and get jobs at Walmart. The thousand year global jihad that Bin Laden & Company vowed upon the West, will be cancelled - called off for lack of interest. Decades of mistakes and blunders will be magically undone by the same morons who committed them in the first place. Sure.
They have it all figured out.
Buffoons never learn. But far worse is that an Idiocracy never stops trusting buffoons.
