According to Maslow's hierarchy of needs, the highest order of human attainment is "self-actualization", which among other things includes: morality, problem-solving and acceptance of facts. Yes, as usual, we all see where this is going...
Unfortunately, Maslow apparently only studied people he deemed to be "exemplary":
"the study of crippled, stunted, immature, and unhealthy specimens can yield only a cripple psychology and a cripple philosophy."

Well, as usual, we identified the root cause of the problem, because unfortunately Maslow left out the entire fucking Idiocracy consisting of 99% of today's masses. So we need to "fix" the hierarchy and add another layer - the "refugee" layer. This is one level below breathing and excretion.
